The new Bapesta 88 sneaker has been released this weekend. It is their first hi-top sneaker, aside from the Chuck Taylor clones, that came in previous seasons. It comes in three colorways and with some nice details. It will be interesting to see how Bape flips the sneaker in the future.

Also Bape has released a new watch. For once its not a Rolex clone and also not a Casio G-Shock collaboration, nevertheless a nice summer watch with cotton strap and an overall pretty simple look.

The sunglasses designed by Pharrell Williams and Nigo a while back, called the Millionaire, were relaunched by Louis Vuitton in some fresh new colorways last summer. See them above in the light blue colorway, purple and again in black. They were limited edition, so if you didn't get 'em then, you'll probably pay double, close to $2g's now.

Now, the Louis Vuitton Millionaires Evidence are available. Not nearly as flashy, but still handmade in Italy and in limited runs.

While writing their third album, N.E.R.D. watched a Discovery Channel show about synesthesia, a neurological disorder that causes people to experience sounds as colors or as objects in their minds. Superproducers the Neptunes (Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo) and their rapping buddy Shay Haley were inspired to create music you could envision as a live show. Does that creative concept work? Hard to say, but the results are experimental and expansive: Specked with ostentatiously weird grooves, "Spaz" and the speedy, jazzy single "Everyone Nose" are destined to go down as some of 2008's most interesting hip-hop cuts. The album also dips into Sixties soul (the sweet "Sooner or Later") and chugging, riff-driven rock ("Kill Joy"), and tosses in big New Wave choruses. But some melodies feel tossed-off (is Pharrell spending too much time writing for other artists?), and you don't learn much from Pharrell's lyrics except that he's horny. The Neptunes don't necessarily need guest MCs to make a great album of their own, but if they want their rhymes to keep up with the strength of their tunes, they need to dig a little deeper than this.

A collaboration with Sirkka Hammer

A wallpaper consisting of four layers of varying grey tones on a bright primary backing. Each layer is perforated in a grid format and backed with a tacky adhesive similar to ‘post-it’ notes. Pixelnotes is inspired by the way we work within a space. The walls become functional, an integrated noticeboard that documents our activity within the room. Pixelated formations and shapes develop according to our patterns of use.

The Audi R8. In the midst of F1 weekend here in Montreal, the buzz is around Ferrari and Lambo. But we feel, that the R8 is highly underrated comparatively. Lighter, faster, more practical, cheaper and the reliability of German engineering, what more do you want?

Love this old school joint, although I'm not sure about the colour. Anybody who loved Michael Bay's Porsche 911 Turbo in Bad Boyz 1 would appreciate this. I believe this is the last year of the air-cooled engine before they switched to water-cooled in 97. I was really happy to see they revised the headlamps on this year's 911 Porsche's back to the bubble eyes, rather than borrowing the Boxster's.

Speaking of Limited Hype, there is definitely limited hype about this Lexus IS F. A 400+ horsepower Japanese car sounds like an oxymoron, but this car is factory legit. The body kit is sick, although the jury is still out on those stacked tailpipes. Read more here.

Amongst the rumours, according to engadget:

The first thing people will notice: the 2nd gen iPhone will be about the same size and shape as the first gen.
It will, of course, have 3G. And proper GPS!
The most noticeable physical difference is back of the phone is no longer metal -- the whole thing is glossy black, from top to bottom. The volume buttons are now chrome.
Because it's got a little less metal to deal with, it doesn't have quite as many angular edges. The battery is (still) not removable.
The phone itself will be slightly thicker than the first gen device.
The headphone jack will no longer be recessed, and will finally be flush with the body.
The device itself uses roughly the same size and resolution screen as the first generation product.
No solid word on battery life or storage capacity.

This light came from the idea of folding a piece of paper. The function of its adjustment of light and the space created by that are a result of simple action of one surface (the panel) being divided by two. The two panels with slight shifts to each other at its closed position remind a user to open this object up. This light gives the poetic theme to the space like a butterfly flying around with silence. Not for sale yet, sadly, just a concept.

The clock, an art project by Realities United, is only two digits, so it can only show time in minutes. If you've got a good sense of what hour it is it shouldn't be too much of a problem, but having to tilt your head back to check the time might get annoying after awhile.
